Some welcome repose from the nightmare that was my summer of 2009 presented itself when Vimeo, the video hosting website, posted a public "Video Haiku" challenge which beckoned my creativity without too much strain on my fraught condition at the time. The requirements were as follows:

5, 7, 5 syllables (seconds an interesting twist)
Influence of Zen meditation
Last 5 syllables evoke a surprise observation or insight
Relationship among the three segments
