One of my (formerly) closest filmmaking partners once characterized my tendency to hole away for months at a time in service of a screenplay as lacking in dignity; even after multiple prosperous collaborations. And I hear alike disparaging sentiments leveled at writers and intellectuals all the time. It's incessant.
Our culture's regard for the generally unsung creative class of writers needs to change. So many take the word for granted and I fully support denying it to the greedy corporate media overlords until their affront to fairness, good faith and cooperation threatens their hallowed image and bottom line. To victory - as long as it takes!
